About the Organisation
Pathology Technology Australia is the peak body representing the innovative providers of pathology solutions in Australia. The power of our technologies, diagnostic tests, and our industry are the drivers of innovative healthcare strategies and outcomes. Our solutions are most often found in public and private pathology laboratories across Australia, and increasingly at the point-of-care, for HIV, diabetes and home pregnancy tests.

About the Role
The Chief Executive Officer has the responsibility to execute the strategic plan that enables the organisation to fulfil its mission and move forward and make a difference. The role provides advice and guidance to the Board on strategy and reports to them on performance. The Chief Executive Officer also serves as Pathology Technology Australia’s primary representative for external stakeholders, leading engagement and negotiations with organisations in the pathology technology sector, business community, government departments.

About You
To be considered for this high profile role, you should be an exceptional communicator with a proven track record of delivering outstanding results. Your key strengths will be:
  • Extensive experience in the Pathology Industry with multidisciplinary knowledge, including governance and regulatory knowledge;

  • Advocacy experience;
  • Ability to survey the technical, commercial and regulatory landscape in which the pathology technology industry operates and identify the risks and opportunities that face both the association and its members;
  • High-level relationship building and negotiation skills with a capacity to work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes;
  • Strategy analysis, management planning and reporting skills;
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • You will have full working rights and will be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.
